Arrive at Pisa International Airport.

Then you have three possibility: Bus (1 hour, direct, €3 each), Taxi (30 min, €60), Train (€6, needs a change)
1. Take the vai-bus to Viareggio-Pietrasanta (direct - recommended)

Time Table: available every hour (18 minutes passed the hour). In peak times also every half an hour. Transfer time is 1 hour. (company website in italian) (time table in PDF)

Buy the tickets (approx. €3 each) : bus tickets may be purchased at the Information Desk (Arrivals Area). This is located on the right of the hall where you end up after you have collected your luggage. They can also be purchased onboard for a slightly higher fee.

Find the Bus Station: turn the right when you leave the main entrance you will reach it in less than a 3 minute walk. Do not expect a big indoor station, it is just a low key open air platform with a sign.

Find the Bus: VAIBUS , Direction Label displayed on the bus: Pietrasanta

Get off at “Viareggio Via Aurelia Nord Esselunga” bus stop. (Ask the driver to tell you, it will be after approximately one hour travelling)

Walk to the house (4 minutes walk, approx. 300 yds)





2. Take the train from the airport (needs a change at Pisa Centrale)

Walk to the airport train station by turning left once you are in the hall

Buy a ticket for Viareggio at the automatic machines. Cost is approx. €7 .

Get off at Pisa Centrale and take the train to Viareggio

Get off at Viareggio train station and walk to the house, or alternatively take a taxi available in front of the station. (see arriving by train below).

By Train

Arrive at the Viareggio main railway station (do not get confused with “Viareggio Scalo”)

Walk to the house or alternatively take a taxi available just at the exit (it is a 10 min walk, 5 min taxi)
