Details and Rules
Ground floor. As soon as you enter you will be welcomed into a spacious lounge with a view over the backyard/mini garden.
I have always loved the sense of welcoming space when I used to return back home from periods away. On the ground floor, in addition to the lounge, there is a double bedroom which can be turned into 2 single beds, the kitchen and the smaller bathroom.
Kitchen The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, a big fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave oven, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pans and pots.
Backyard. At the end of the backyard you will find a detached room which is basically the laundry room. There you can find the iron and ironing board.
First Floor. A marble staircase in the lounge gives you access to the upper level with a wooden floor. There you will find another smaller lounge which, in my view, is “the library” and music room (there you will find a selection of my books, a guitar, some table games and interesting pictures of the old times of my family to peruse).
A large bathroom with both a shower and a bath is at your disposal there.
The house also offers a generous 50+ Mbps wifi connection and features a shining new 43’ inch smart TV at Ultra HD definition (4K).
All of the three bedrooms have air conditioned.
A sturdy and handy barbecue is available in the backyard.
There is a gas central heating system to keep you warm if you come in winter.
Smoking. If you are a smoker we ask you not to smoke in the house but only in the garden. Please be sure you are comfortable with this restriction before booking.
Pets. Pets are generally welcome (Luciana loves them!). However we want to know about them beforehand. We would not allow snakes, lions and tigers! Also when pets are around we kindly ask you to keep all sofas covered with the suitable protective coverings provided.
No Party Rule. Our vision of hospitality does not include allowing partying with excessive alcohol, people getting drunk, shouting and loud music until the early hours. Please be sure you are comfortable with this restriction before booking.
Parking. The house is in a parking scheme area and you need a permit to be able to park nearby. The council sells seasonal permits that you can get when you arrive.
Council Tax. The council of Viareggio requires that each person on a short stay pays a daily fee to them. Please note that to make things simpler for you we have included this fee in the rent and will do all the bureaucracy for you.
Communication of your stay to the security office. Italian rules requires that the presence of every guest in town is communicated to them. This is why we need the details of each of the guests at time of booking. We will do all this bureaucracy for you.
Cleaning fee. To keep low the daily rental fee low, we prefer to charge the cost of the cleaning in a one off way, as it is paid only once for each period. You will find this clearly specified at booking time.
